The Library has been divided into different sections for its smooth functioning:-
Computer Section: This section is located on the Ground Floor of the Library. The section houses the main server, the CD server, Multimedia system, scanners and printers. It manages the working of the entire Computer System of the Library.
Acquisition Section: Located on the Basement of the Library, this Section acquires books and other reading material selected by the SLPC Members as well as recommended by the Library staff in accordance to the readers demand.
Technical Section: Before the reading material is made available for use on the stacks, it is technically processed in this Section, located on the First Floor of the Library.
Reference Section: One is welcome to avail this service at the Reference Desk on the First Floor Reading Hall of the Library. This section also contains Educational and Recreational CD’s/DVD’s for readers.
Circulation Section: Issue and return of books is handled with the help of computers. To use this section, located on the First Floor, readers have to get them enrolled as member of the Library.
Children Section: A great children's section at the library is a respite for children and parents, a place where kids can feel safe and surrounded by knowledge and wonder. It is an adorable and a great place for children to start learning computer and library skills.
Periodicals Section: The Library subscribes 81 magazines and 23 newspapers. The Periodicals Section located on the Ground Floor of the Library, makes available these current sources of information.
Binding Section: Housed on the Basement, is the Library Bindery fitted with the latest binding machines. Apart from undertaking routine binding of Library reading materials, it attends to small repair jobs brought by all the section Incharge.
